Yesterday we were doing some work outside and decided to take the opportunity of beautiful weather to get some outside pictures of the olives. IMHO, natural light always brings out a herp's true colors best. Some of these ended up being out of focus because they were taken as the sun was setting, but they're good nonetheless. Enjoy.

(I thought it was interesting how the camera either captured the irridescence or the olive tones depending on from which end of the snake the pictures were taken. From the tail facing the head, you see the brown. From the head facing the tail, you see the irridescence. The irridiophores must all the aligned in relatively the same direction.)
