We have 2.3 dwarf burmese pythons. 1.3 are imports from Japan. 1.0 WC that was imported as an adult in 2003. He is about 5 1/2 feet and is a proven breeder. He was bred to an albino granite and a leopard this season. The 1.3 are captive bred 04 animals. These are all right at 4 feet and weren't ready to breed this year. I would venture to guess that yours are 05 animals due to their size. These dwarf burms seem to be more age dependent than size dependent when it comes to breeding. We hope the 3 1/2 year mark is the proper age. Our 04 male had no interest in breeding this year. Our 04 females were not receptive to the wild caught male.
The temperment ranges from VERY mild to VERY SATANIC. We included pictures of the 04 female that loves to be handled. The other two females do not want to be handled, but are more jumpy defensive than agressive. The wild caught is very defensive. The 04 male is insane. He will charge at you if you invade his cage.
As far as size, they are a miniature form of the burmese python. Seem to max out at 7 feet, smaller for males as ours is only 5 1/2 and full grown.
