We're thinking we'll do the wedding in December of 2004--her folks are NOT comftorable with it,I don't want 20 years of hostile in laws. As for cheap....you talking to da man :D! Her church is dirt cheap for members (preacher is free, building is cheap). The only problem is her dress; we're even keeping the ring set under 500 (a 200 dollar engagment ring, and some silver bands--it actually looks really nice). It's gonna be in Texas, so we'll have some friends and myself get together to do a BBQ for the (dry) reception. I've got some good friends that can design the invites and we can print them ourselves...and there won't be many people, maybe 80 or so.
If you have ANY advice on the dress though! That's the only part that worries me; she wants a real honest to God wedding dress, and none of our surviving family has that skill with a needle. I've looked online and sheesh. Who pays 500 dollars for a one time dress?
