thats a bit of an odd question. We had someone kick our door in once. They took a corn snake, got bit the $h1t out of by an Iguana- that was running through the house, and attempted to take a 12 ft. python- he was pretty fistey too. I don't know if he got bit or if the blood was from the IG bite. The cage door is on hinges that won't let the door hang open- it doesn't close and latch- it was open a bit.

We had to call a special group to come clean up the blood- since I wasn't touching it. We had to have the IG tested for different things- rabies and such... *rolls eyes*.

never caught the guy- that was years ago before we started the rescue.... and before we got guard dogs.

Someone did try and break into the house we're in now- got 3 100 lbs dogs all over him, then the police... hehehe. (there was also a shotgun involved).

my dogs have saved my life more than once. I have a lot of faith in them- I also have a lot of faith in locking every cage we have- we don't keep keys in the house except on our key ring.



If you've been broken into- you might think about getting locks for your cages. Don't know what people are doing anymore.... I think cases like this call for a little chlorine in the gene pool...
