feeding ball pythons smaller prey?

i need to feed my balls and they are 800 - 900 grams. i know they should be eating small rats but is it really bad to feed them rat fuuzies that just opened there eyes a few days ago? even if i feed them a few of them? i just cant get any weanlings and i want to feed them in the next few days? can anyone tell me why not to feed them this size? thanks.
