well, we get a lot of bearded dragons through the rescue. We've only had one for quite some time.. until yesterday. the one we have is in a 75 gal. tank, pleanty of room- he loves it.
yesterday- someone dumped a bearded dragon and a leopard gecko off at the back door of a vet clinic. they obviously came to me.
first I will say: I have pleanty of cages, thats not an issue.
I have heard and read of a lot of people that have more than one beardie in a cage. no biggie. I get the bright idea to put the 2 in together...... not so good. the one we've had, we use for education so he's very nice. He starts bobbing his head and running around, chasing the new one. then they switch. the original one is still bobbing but the new one is chasing. They kept biting eachother and hissing. I seperated them. They both are in 75 gal tanks, next to eachother and they're chasing eachother up and down the tank.....
is that normal. I don't plan on putting them back together- I've never kept anything in the same cage- don't need fights or BABIES!! I just have always seen more than one beardie in a cage. never done it myself...
do they always fight when they're together or was that something else?
