In the green tree python community MDF cages lines with shelf liner (aka contact paper) are very popular and some have lasted for years. If anything I would expect a GTP to have a moister substrate than the species you listed, with the possible exception of the Blood Python. I do know some GTP enthusiasts who keep their substrate saturated in order to keep humidity up.



What sort of vinyl do you plan to use? Sheet vinyl, vinyl film or what?
