i noticed with my albino boa (female) there there is a slight buldge near her cloaca... should i be worried about that?

could it be from probing? i got her in february and its still there... she is only appx. 6 months old, so i dont think it could be hemipenes or anything...

she has shed once since i've had her, and is eating f/t mice, although she did go for 2 weeks without eating, but i left a mouse in her feeding tub last week & she ate it at some point during the night...

she hasn't defecated, or at least i havent found it yet in her cage... she is very inquisitve and seems otherwise healthy...i am just worried about the buldge/not defecating/not eating situation...

i feed all my snakes on sundays...and soak them in a warm bath later in the week & they usually defecate then...

i worry way too much...but i just want to catch things early and not have to regret anything...

is there anything i could be doing wrong?

also, she is EXTREMELY arboreal...my other boa likes to be in her hide & sometimes come out to lay on her heat pad...the albino is ALWAYS up on her branch in her cage...all my snakes have branches to sit on, but the albino uses it far more often...

any suggestions?

i dont think it could be temps, because she has a lamp and a heat pad, although i could be wrong...

the buldge isnt very big, and it doesnt seem to bother her at all...

thanks
jessica
