You're absolutely correct... it is a BIG no no! As a college instructor, I can tell you that every college and university has a grievance process for students to address this type of inappropriate behavior by the teacher. Check with your counselor, and file a grievance. The school will investigate and respond to you. The school will also caution the instructor about taking punitive actions against you.
