Posted by: Jonathan_Brady at Tue Apr 3 23:03:15 2007 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Jonathan_Brady ] I used boxes similar to that a few years ago and had several animals who would climb to the top of the drawer and nestle in between the top of the housing and the plastic drawer (it's hard to explain with words). They would situate themselves like arboreal snakes. The only way to get them down was to pull apart the surrounding housing (the top was snapped on) because I couldn't pull the drawer forward for fear of hurting them. At first it wasn't a big deal but several of them learned of this snug little spot and it eventually became a several times per day, per animal thing. They also have the ability at that point to lodge themselves down the side of the plastic drawer and when you pull the drawer out, they can get behind it making it VERY dangerous to them. Also, the ones I purchased had a "latice" type of bottom so they could get down in there and slither away after getting lodged down the side and after I opened the drawer. I decided to scrap the entire idea and buy a rack system with heat installed. SOOOOO much easier. | ||
