Hello,
I was wondering how quickly one needs to move the newly-laid eggs from the laying box to the incubator. I was away for a week, and I found four eggs when I came home. Could they still hatch? They didn't dry out and they are fertile.
Also, how do you tell when an egg has gone bad in the incubator? I think some of my eggs might have gotten too moist, and I noticed a slight smell to them. They don't really look too different, but I noticed a bit of white chalky residue on the outside of one of the eggs. Could this be a fungus?
Thank you for any information!
~Katie
