Inflamed hemipenes could certainly be life threatening! Not to mention painful. Infections spead, bleeding and scarring can cause problems on their own. I think I would look for a second opinion. About your UV light...if it was a store brand you mentioned, I would not trust the product claims. Many herpers change the name of that particular business to something a lot less intelligent.
