I was hoping it wasn't bad enough to cause any permanent damage, but over the last week its become obvious hes going to lose it. He is still moving around, eating great and doesn't appear to be in any pain. Other than his injury he is completely healthy and there isn't any infection. I'm very reluctant to take him to my vet due to the fact that other than his somewhat crispy foot hes fine. My question is this, will the bad foot fall off on its own or is it absolutely necessary to have it amputated? If it was affecting his health i wouldn't hesitate to take him in, but his behavior hasn't changed. Any opinions from experienced keepers would be great.I've dealt with a few tail and toe tips but a whole foot is new territory for me. | ||
