RE: a nasty foot nip

In the past I've taken in dragons with this type of injury. Sometimes the dead tissue can spread up the limb. Unfortunatly the longer you wait the higher up the amputation may be. The vet cuts it where it turns black. If they don't see live tissue then they cut it higher until live tissue is found. A tail or toe is one thing but I would definately bring him to the vet for a foot. Sorry.
