Point your temp gun/thermo right at the floor of the tank, where snakey spends the vast majority of his life.



Heat pads get EXTREMELY hot ... if you have an accurate temperature reader, like a temp gun or digital thermometer, don't be surprised at all to see temps exceeding 110F.



Put a thermostat or rheostat (as simple as a light dimmer) on all your heating devices.
