I've heard of stuff like this happening

to other breeders but never thought we would be so lucky! I've mostly heard of it happening with Ball Python breeders where a large number of animals are still being imported.

A good friend of ours had a normal female Ball Python that he raised up and decided to pair up with a het. Lavender Albino male to make some possible hets. The snakes bred and the female laid eggs and he hatched out TWO Lavender Albino Ball Pythons!

The odds of something like this happening is just crazy. I think there are several animals out there that are carrying genes that we are unaware of and may never be known because we didn't happen to pair that individual up correctly to express that gene. To luck out and blindly match that animal up with a mate carrying the same gene is just amazing. I'm still recovering from our surprise!
