How are you providing humidity now? Do you use a humidifier? Have you tried hanging clear plastic shower curtains or sheeting on the back and sides of your cage to help hold in the humidity? I like using this as the sheeting does not create as stagnant a cage climate as glass would. Also, the cham won't try to climb through it as the cage mesh is still visible. Glass has its own problems so maybe there is more you can try before going that way. A cage just full of bushy live plants, sheeting on the back and sides, or even part of the front, and an ultrasonic humidifier cycling on a lamp timer should be able to keep him comfortable. If he's dehydrated it will affect more than his eyes. Dehydrated chams don't eat much, and what they do eat is hard for them to digest...so he's thin. In your summers it should be humid natually unless your house is air conditioned, but maybe you could put him outside. I lived near Barnegat for several years and that's what I did for my veiled.
