We have had the Freakiest Spring down here. We actually had snow in Sabine County -East TX- Early April and two cold fronts move through with temps in the 30-40's at night- Incredible. That is rare. This has moved back the mating season for reptiles and screwed up the frog matamorphosis tadpole to frog. But this week will be good hopefully.
The temps were not deadly, even at the surface, so don't worry; at worst, it slowed the reptile movement for a brief time. It didn't screw up the metamorphs......even TX coast amphibs can survive brief bouts of above-freezing temps Don't collect anything.
