Umbilical? problem, need advice

I had one of my babies come out of the egg with a large amount of what looked like yolk sack still attached and dragging. After a few hours it seemed to be smaller and came off of the snake.



It has been 2 days now and the belly button area(not sure if thats what you call it on a snake)still looks to be spread open about the width of a nickel. Is there anything I can do or apply to this to help. Is this something that heals itself? I have hatched out over 100 babies and have never seen this before?



I know there is another board for "health & diet" issues but it has not had much activity in the last few days and I am getting concerned. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
