To make matters worse, a fecal fly got into it, laid eggs and produced maggots! I "flushed" the open wound with Betadine, removed any maggots, and filled the hole with triple antibiotic ointment! The ointment aided the healing and kept those damn fecal flies out! The wound healed and the snake did fine! I would say a thin layer of ointment over the wound would'nt hurt! I might even keep the nake on a moist, not wet, paper towel! Good Luck! | ||
