Ok, so this year was my first shot at breeding balls. I have a 2000 g cbb03 female.....a cbb 750g pastel male....and my friend has another adult female. We first started cooling in late sept early oct....right as the cool down first started...the females pigd out waaaaay more than usual...wich i though was for them to have reserves for making eggs. Anyway....the season went on and on....with COUNTLESS pairings.....week on...week off...week on...etc. I never witnessed a copulation. My friend gave up and took his female back...who is now eating again and as far as we know....not gravid. My female on the other hand...is STILL refusing food....is been almost 6 months! She doesnt really look any fatter than she ever did...although she is maintaining a constant plump look but she always did. Shes shed twice within the last two and a half months....both times i hoped it was the pre ov shed...but nothing. about a week ago....i looked under her hide and saw her with her back half on its side. not the whole way over...just w her belly to the side....facing towards the inside of her coil. She just completed her second shed yesterday....so i put the male back in...just to see what happened. NOW I just looked in....and they are DEF locked up. The first lock ive ever seen. My question is.....what are the chances of me actually getting eggs? I worry that my female has already decided on NOT producing this year....due to the male not being ready. Now that he is ready...can she choose to produce follicles again...does she still have follicles from earlier....did they get absorbed.....Im sure next year will go without a hitch its just this year....the fem was ready before the male. Now that the male is ready...and locking up w her....can she still be ready....or is it set in stone to wait for next season? If she can still produce...should i re-lower the temps til ov. or keep them at normal? right now temps are mid-high 80s. thanks for any help on this crazy sistuation....Jeremy
