In the past I have not bought animals from people who listed what species were involved but could not give me exact percentages. The reason I am so particular about this is that a "jungle corn" can be 1/2 corn, 3/4 corn or 1/4 corn, 3/4 cal-king but the label "Jungle Corn" or "corn x cal-king" doesn't tell you that. I do not agree with breeding a hybrid back to one of the parent species because it hides the other species involved too much. I love hybrids but only those who have an exact lineage. One time too many I have seen hybrids at shows labeled "Hybrid King" and that's all the guy knows about it. In my opinion a 3/4 corn 1/4 cal-king is a different animal than a 3/4 cal-king 1/4 corn or even a 1/2 corn 1/2 cal-king.

Back to your generation question.... As long as you are breeding a 50% corn, 50% cal-king to a 50% corn, 50% cal-king they will always produce young that are 50% corn and 50% cal-kings. I think percentages do matter and will always matter even into the later generations.
I am very passionate about keeping accurate records of how much of what snake is in which hybrid.
Good questions!
