My first boa lost came as a double whammy. My dad and I purchased 2 sick boas. At the time we had no idea or what symptoms would show a respiratory infection. We took the two to the vet and were given antibiotics. We soaked them, increased heat and patted them daily. They were nearly on the way to recovery; unfortunately we put them upstairs at our house which was the hottest place at the time when our A/C unit went out on us. This was during the middle of summer here in NC. Needless to say they didn't stand a chance and I was tore up for weeks over it because we were new to this and they were both breeding sized females. Every time this kind of thing happens it prepares you for the worst and makes one appreciate what they have that much more. This hobby requires a certain amount of callous, without it, these setbacks would turn us on our love for the hobby | ||
