Hey Andrew, I have a pair of panthers, I just hand mist a few times a day, But have a dripper going also at a certain time of day.
I leave the dripper over a good sized leaf/ or group of leaves, somewhere in the area of where the plant pot is (below) so when it drips it will water the plant as well, instead of going all over the bottom. If it does I sop it up with paper towels later.
Not only do mine lick the leaves, but sometimes just stand up on their back legs and catch big drips right off the top screen as they are dripping down.
I tend to put it on a quick drip and it is easily spotted if they are thirsty. Funny if your around a lot , and are observant, they begin to let you know when they are thirsty. Cadberry my male, actually licks the branch he's sitting on when he sees me (if I don't have the dripper going.) Then I know want he wants. This has always worked fine for me as far as hydration for them.
It's as if they get into the routine, Suncharmers / scaly kids
