We use a c02 injector to keep the plants happy and lots of plant food, they sell foods that dont supply nutirets to alage so you dont have too much growth. We also have a pair of Albino Bushynose Plecos in the tank they do a great job with clean up. Under the tank is actually a 20 gallon sump, i do all of my water changes out of the sump once a month. We also have one of those magnetic alage scrappers that i use once a week ....
