I feed my large and medium breeder sized female boas guinea pigs a couple of months before breeding season. I feel the higher fat content in the pigs helps them reproduce. I will feed rabbits or rats the rest of the year. I also feed guinea pigs to females that just gave birth. It seems to get their body weight on faster than rabbits or rats. A diet wholly in Guinea Pigs probably isn't the best since they are higher in fat content. I wouldn't feed them to males, I don't feed them to males only to my females. They serve their purpose. | ||
