First of all ball pythons are not a species of snake that I feel requires soaking once a month by a keeper they come from africa, second of all the enviormant that you keep them and proper husbandry has the greatest impact on how they shed, I use a vision rack and I use aspen bedding which I mist down when
I notice that my balls are going into a shed cycle (in the blue) the aspen bedding does a great job holding mositure, raising the humidity up and its great for spot cleaning and cheap to buy , I also provide them with a clean source of water at all times , large water bowls , if they want to soak they will . I have never had a shed problem , by observing my balls on a regular basis I avoid these simple problems , good luck.
