I need to get some photos, I have a lot of new petunias planted out there. We're thinking of buying a tree to put in there too. I'd like to put honeysuckle out there but realized if I want to do that, I'm going to need an arbor or something.. if I plant honeysuckle against the fence & it grows onto the fence then the girls could possibly climb up & fall out so I haven't put any out there yet.

Then I thought an arbor with a bench for humans to sit on would be nice...



My DH finally helped me move the tortoise's old "dog house" into the pen & then he partially buried it about half way so it'll be a really nice shelter. The tortoise outgrew it & hasn't used it in over a year so since we bought this house for about 35 bucks, I didn't see why the turtles can't have it.

DH partially buried another smaller house he'd built so it'll be a better shelter too.



Now the only problem I've been having is stormy weather. I had the girls in the pen yesterday & the day before but we were supposed to get a big storm last night so I brought them indoors, then we did get a storm.

Today is overcast and cool enough that the tortoise isn't coming out so it looks like the girls are in for the day.

By the end of this month though it should be really hot & there shouldn't be any reason why they can't stay in the pen full time by then. Ditto for the baby who's had a few days outside but has been indoors for the better part of a week now.



Hopefully by fall they'll want to stay for the winter.

I guess we shall see.
