Posted by: AshGecko at Thu May 10 20:05:42 2007 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by AshGecko ] have a 6 year old female Leopard Gecko named Phoebe. Yesterday I went in to clean her tank and found her with this mass/bump on her abdomen. Of course I freaked out and called the vet. After a series of xrays the Vet was unable to conclusively determine that she was egg bound. She said that the mass looked fluid-like in density with soft tissue, and no calcifications. She then preformed an aspiration but was unable to pull any fluid out. She suggested exploratory surgery. I'm giving Phoebe antibiotics twice a day and crossing my fingers that it goes away (although I don't think it will). I'm a college student and don't have the money to pay for surgery.
