Just watch areas under water bowls and hides as they can mold pretty easy sometimes,not sure what causes it from one time to the next but possibly something with dust spores from stored surplus. We age our newsprint several months before use.
Ink transfer to the animals is most often seen when useing "fresh" print over the aged stuff.
