You asked..."Do your chams nibble on those leaves?"...some of the veileds nibble on them and some strip the plant almost bare of leaves.



You said..."If they do, then I should be fine with the one I have.....they are both listed as the same type of "poison." It must just be humans that they affect!"...what poison are you saying they both have? Oxalates? Whatever is supposed to be in the pothos that I use, doesn't seem to harm the veileds. I have used those plants for years and raised/hatched/kept a lot of veileds during that time that live(d)to a ripe old age.



This site says the one I use in my cages has calcium oxalate crystals....and..."TOXIC ONLY IF LARGE QUANTITIES EATEN. CAUSES SEVERE PAIN IN THE MOUTH IF EATEN! SKIN IRRITATION MINOR, OR LASTING ONLY FOR A FEW MINUTES."

I couldn't find a site that told what the toxin is in the one you were saying you have (scindapsus pictus).
