Well, I'm not saying they are red axanthic, and het red axanthics, but boy, are they pretty.

Some background info on the clutch. Mother is a WC imported female that laid a clutch of 8 eggs on 2-26-07. She weighed 2,200 grams. She is a black back animal.

The clutch is one ** axanthic looking female ** two black backs, male and female, and five normal(??) females. 1.7

All have shed, and taken their first meal of a baby rat.

First thing I noticed on this clutch is, they are very aggresive! Constantly striking at anything that moves. Even in a sitting postion, they will strike at the camera while I am taking pictures. So un-ball like. I've been bitten a 1/2 dozen times by them already.

So, here are some pictures.

First one is of the axanthic looking female with one of her siblings.

The pair of black backs.

The five female siblings. They all have the exact belly pattern......clear bellies...... the siblings are all bright with flames and clear bellies....

a belly of one of the siblings:

I'm open to any thoughts that any one wants to throw out there.

Again, I'm not stating these are Red Axanthics and het reds, but maybe a new line of them? With getting one male het (well, a male at least) I can't wait to raise this clutch up and start breeding him back to all his sisters!

Thanks

Ron Billingsley
