Most of the time if you lightly palpate the female after she has gone through her pre lay you can feel smaller masses and larger ones the smaller ones normally turn out to be slugs. After awhile you get the hang of it and can be pretty spot on You can also see them on an ultrasound machine.



I have seen many females reabsorb folicules but never fully developed eggs. If she has done a pre lay shed and was gravid she will lay them. Folicules you can not see bulging out the side of a female you can only see the shape of actuall eggs, so i would say if you saw some type of outline and she has shed already just be patient.
