The female was found on a snake call in Hernando County, Florida about 6 or 7 years ago. I did not know anything about her background, but I did notice over the years that her offspring were always high yellow and golden colored normal babies. I wondered if, just by chance, could she have any Ghost genes? The one way to know for sure was to breed her to a Ghost. I really thought all I would end up with would be babies with an even lighter yellow coloration. But when her 2007 clutch hatched this week, I found 4 normal 100% hets/ Ghost and 4 GHOSTS! This just showed me that you NEVER KNOW! Follow through with those hunches when you get them! | ||
