Sick Gecko

Ok - husband says no to the vet. I purchased Repta-Aid and administered slowly and in small amounts. He threw it all up. Temps are still 80-95 on warm side, has calcium in small dish, fresh water, 2 hides, all the items that are essential, etc. Have tried mealworms - will not eat, waxworms - ate a few by hand and threw them up, crickets. Rarely eats and when he does -has watery stools. He hates to be picked up and just seems miserable. At this point I'm thinking he needs to go to a rescue if I can't figure out how to help him. Any advice would help.
