It has been too many years since we had carpets. He doesn't hang on tight as if he is fearful of falling, he just doesn't want to go back into his box. He climbs back up your arm to stay with you. It is quite the battle to get him back in his box.
When he is being held, he doesn't try to venture off, just stays with you. He was the first one to show these traits, the rest of the babies aren't as determined to stay out. Therefore, we call him "Static". We had thought of calling him "Mr. Clingy", but our son came up with a better name.
I hope this is a better explaination of our terms of clingy. Let us know if you have any other questions.
