I can make a couple of guesses, however, only a qualified veterinarian should make a diagnosis. If you use an undertank heat pad type of heating device, these are notorious for causing thermal burns because most people don't use them properly (that is, they don't connect them to quality thermostats). A thermal burn is often pink in color that, when severe, turns a crusty/yucky (for lack of a better way to put it) yellow color. Silvadene cream works great for treating burns, HOWEVER, if severe, antibiotic injections may also be necessary. The pink color could also be an indicator of a snake getting ready to shed its skin. So, if you are unsure, seek veterinary assistance.
