It has to do with ther species you acknowl;edge you posess and hpe they have prepared you to deal with a elaphid. Ever see a real coral snake, know how fast they are, not in the bite but in pure ground speed. eyelash vipers( assume you mean bothropechis ) not too hard to work , mambas of any species are a work out, not because of their aggression but pure ground speed, and that they are aboreal. That you would believe that working coastal pythons qualifies you to work mambas in amusing----by all means do as you wish, hope your credit cards aren't maxed out. You may well need them, I had a minor C Atrox bite about 23 years ago cost was about $1200.00 to fix. You can expect to well over ten times that amount to fix your problem. maybe you should be reading the posts at top of this forum 6 times this poor guy was bitten in a eye blink. My bite took me almost a full year to recover 98% usage of my hand, if you recover your problems will last alot longer. Just some simply cuontry think to a obviously superior keeper. But Sir, will you do us the honor of kindly reporting to this forum when one of your critters do zap you assuming that you can make it to the keyboard. lets see a large dendroaspis pick a species about 20 minutes you might not make it long enough to post. * the 20 minute figure is a severe bite with no immediate treatment.
