I'd be careful about guinea pigs. I've always heard that feeding them to snakes makes the snakes extremely obese (to the point of being very sluggish and unhealthy). Have you tried Jumbo rats and Colossal rats? They're about the same size as most guinea pigs and about the same price if you shop around online. You can also buy rabbits (of all sizes) and they're much healthier than guinea pigs.



I once fed guinea pigs to an emaciated 8-ft boa that had been abandoned at a pet store. It ate everything in front of it: jumbo rats, guinea pigs, rabbits... but once it gained back a healthy weight, I stopped with the guinea pigs. The snake was 8 feet and TWELVE pounds when I got it. Within about 7 months she was almost 30 pounds. Bigappleherp.com has "Colossal" and "Ultimate" rats for about $3.
