Mine are also kept in the same room with my other boas, all the cages are regulated with individual digital proportional thermostats.
Basically amarali need good controls for their environment. I doubt you'll ejoy them much using a glass tank and a heat lamp. Plastic cages with flexwatt and well controlled to keep a good gradient will prevent problems. If you try short cuts with these guys something could happen.
I got my OC as a baby, couple months old, and the Blonde as a yearling.
One big thing with amarali is to TAKE IT SLOW with feeding. They do not mature as fast as other boas either. My girl born in '03 and the male in '04 MIGHT be ready this year. If they were imperator they would have had one or two litters by now. They are easily over fed. ----- http://www.GilbertBoas.com/
