Okay I need help, please.

I have a baby leopard gecko, he was given to me today by a friend, now he is my first lizard, I have three snakes, but is his houseing simallar to my snakes?? What type of bedding can he have?? Right now he has sand and a hide box and he ate some crickets I bought him and what else dose he need? I'm in dire need to give him a undertank heater, a small one will do right?? What type of light should I use with him?

Thank you for the help!!! Going to the petstore tomrrow straight from work!!!
