I keep her on shaved aspen bedding, as i do with all my animals. AS for laying on dampened bedding, that is possible but unlikely because i didn't notice it as the bedding was pretty dry and loose.
Something came to mind though, last week when i cleaned her cage, i left her in it becasue only one side was dirty, and i didn't really want to disturb her...i sprayed a nolvasan solution on the wiped up dirty area to disinfect...there is a chance some of the spray may have hit her face, as i remember her face being not to far from where i was spraying but not too close either...i always assumed this to be a safe product to use around my boas...but if the concentration of nolvasan was too high...would it cause this reaction on a boa's scales?? i just don't know...but it's all i can think of that would of caused this...i usually measure my nolavsan solution to water on what's recommended.
