If it is 20 inches long, it is in its first year. Provided its been fed properly. Without pushing a boa can hit 6ft at 4 years of age easily. Some boas have genetics that will increase or decrease that number. I have a 15 year old female that is 9 ft long, and a 4 year old female that is a little over 7ft.

I've heard of boas hitting 6ft at 18-24 months of age. You really have to push the food on them to achieve that kind of growth rate. Most reports I've read believe that it is unhealthy, and may lead to fatty liver disease.

>>I was wondering about how much does a Colombian red tail boa grow in the first year of its life, and how much it puts on each year after that. If anyone could answer this it'd be great. Im just curious to know the growth rate of this animal. Plus I was sorta wondering what the age of my baby colombian is if its about 20 inches long. Any replies would be great. Thanks alot!
