I have my baby ball in a 55 gallon tank and it has a few hides and some other things as well.

She seems to be doing fine, and I see her wondering around at night all the time!

She has eaten everytime I have offered her food (once a week) and there doesn't seem to be a problem.

So, as far as housing your baby in a big tank, I think that it's fine as long as you have a good number of hides and the other necessaries.

I'm not sure where the housing with a boa comes in, because you said nothing of the sort in this post, but maybe I missed a different post...

Do not house different snakes together. It's better for each snake to have their own space.
