Nothing was really done specifically to disprove that, but if you read most of the books available on the market (books written more than 4-5 years ago), they mostly say that a female veiled must breed before a certain age or that she was basically destined to die (that is a pretty major factor of bad informaiton still being passed around reguarding the subject)... I'm not sure why so many people regurged the same bad info, but it's simply not true. I know of several people (myself included) that have raised female veileds 2-3-4 years or more without ever having a male around.
