I was reading on anapsid.org that some animals will not eat when they are not hungry. Only some animals are consider gorgers, which pretty much eat as much as they can and will eat even when not hungry. Dogs, cats, turtles, and Burmese python are fine examples. Dogs will eat until they puke. But most animals will stop eating when they are not hungry, so it is impossible to overfeed. I feed my juvy leo as much as she will eat everyother day and I notice that she will not eat when she is not hungry, but she does eat a lot in one sitting since she is still growing. I don't think this is powerfeeding. My other leo, a patternless, will not eat when she is not hungry, and I give her as much as she wants to eat, but she never seem to gain much weight because she will only eat enough until she is not hugnry anymore; then she would stop. She isn't fat at all. However, this is different with my other large female. She will eat even when she is not hungry and I noticed she is a lot fatter than my patternless. Her tail is fatter than my finger, so I put her on a diet. She now eats every three day about five large crickets. Is there such thing as powerfeeding babies and jvies? I think most reptiles will not eat when they are not hungry.
