When we followed a bunch of my boas with ultrasound, the most surprising observation was that the breedings we observed took place 30-45 days before the females ovulated, usually when the follicles were still very small. After mating, the follicles grew quickly to 40-45 mm then ovulation occured soon there after. I have since felt it was more important to make sure males were placed with females well in advance of their pre-ovulation swell. | ||
