At one time, the distribution of Timbers in that whole general area was almost bizarre. Some locales were practically infested, and yet in other nearby areas, only on the order of 10 miles or so away, they were virtually absent. That was many years ago, though. I still don't know if it was just a natural fluke, or whether human extirpation had something to do with it. | ||
