I take most of my snakes out weekly. The ones who enjoy getting out & about are right there to greet me & crawl out when I open the lid. If my explorers are having a bad day, I can tell & just leave them alone.

Maybe if you try & take them out once in awhile, some will like it & in the future let you know when they want to come out & play.

I have found that handling my snakes gives me a much closer/better rapport with them. But let's note: I am the stereotypical "overboard, spoil all pets type" to begin with.
