I just hatched out my three nicest calicos to date. I'll post some photos of them after they shed, but suffice it to say I'm in love. Even if there isn't a super form (god forbid) the calico brings some totally unique things to the table. Not only is the pink of the juveniles unprecedented, but the more extreme examples have a beautiful vibrant orange around the pattern edging and on the underside. On top of that, it's also a pattern morph - more noticeable in some examples than others, and especially noticeable in the pastel calico. I think calicos are underappreciated possibly due to the fact that they resist all attempts to capture thier true colors with a camera. While I've always hated to see ads for animals that say "this animal looks much better in person", the calicos definitely do. [ Hide Replies ]
